Our Team
EHD Lab brings together interests in ecology, hydrology, and digital modeling.

Principal investigator
Guotao Cui, Ph.D.
Associate Professor
I study hydrology and water resources, ecohydrological processes, extreme events, and AI-based environmental modeling. My research connects observations and models to understand water-cycle responses in a changing environment.
Before joining the faculty in 2023, I worked at the Sierra Nevada Research Institute at UC Merced and the Athabasca River Basin Research Institute in Canada. I received my Ph.D. from the University of Wyoming.
I am a recipient of the university's Hundred Talents Program appointment and Guangdong's Pearl River Talent Program recognition for outstanding young talent.
